Live vinyl set by Daniel Troberg x ISA

Intended as an active celebration of DJing as an art form and of the historic role of club culture in holding safe space for African Americans, Latinx, LGBTQ and Women, the exhibition's final event featured a live vinyl set by producer, Dublab radio host and long time vinyl DJ, Daniel Troberg on the Apse-stage. Tying in with the themes of the exhibition, he curated a special selection of Detroit-themed techno, house, and Disco, providing a musical journey that honored the cultural influence of these genres within social movements of the past and the present.
“In a similar fashion, music as art that was mainly misunderstood and rejected in most parts of America but made its way to Europe in the late 80s to flourish and in later years got picked up and accepted in America again,” - Daniel Troberg.
